'Āina Work Days
We malama 'Āina to create a space for pilina and understanding of Hawaiian Cultural and Keauhou. We were honored to offer opportunities be connected.
PILIALOHA
Our partnerships with like-minded organizations help to strengthen Lā hui.
On Saturday, January 21, we joined the nonprofit “E Mau Nā Ala Hele'' on a hike along the Kona coast starting at the Lekeleke burial grounds, passing through Kuamo`o battle field, the burials of Kekuaokalani and his loyal wife chiefees Manono, the old village of Kainaliu makai and finishing at Hokulia. Hawaiian protocols were honored prior to the start of our journey with ho`okupu. Hawaiian history and moolelo were shared along the way. Following the hike we were honored to show our support and gratitude toward E Mau Nā Ala Hele for all they have done to support Hawaiian history and culture by hosting them in Keauhou, offering them a place to conduct their board meeting. Ohana Days allow us to host lineal decedents and others looking to reconnect to 'āina and the rich history of Keauhou.
